The ‘We’ll Be Coming’ Wall is set to be a new permanent fan installation at Hampden Park, created to mark Scotland’s return to the World Cup after 28 years.
The Challenge
The Scottish FA has tasked Intaglio with creating a permanent fan landmark at the national stadium, marking Scotland’s return to the World Cup after 28 years.
The installation must:
- Provide supporters with a meaningful way to mark the moment
- Withstand the demands of a high footfall stadium environment
- Operate at scale with a smooth retail journey
- Be supported by a robust personalisation and fulfilment process from launch
The Solution
Building on the success of the original Hampden Forever project, Intaglio is continuing its partnership with the Hampden team to deliver the personalised bricks that will form the We’ll Be Coming Wall, extending supporter participation at Scotland’s national stadium. Supporters can secure a personalised brick at the national stadium, capturing a defining moment for Scottish football in a feature designed to remain long after the tournament has passed.
Evolving an Established Platform
The original Hampden Forever retail site was repurposed and updated for this exciting new phase. Personalisation templates were refined, and systems were tested and configured to ensure orders could be processed smoothly from launch.
Managing Personalisation at Scale
Intaglio manages the flow of supporter personalisation data, ensuring every message is accurately captured, checked and prepared for production. This structured approach maintains consistency across thousands of individually personalised bricks.
Production & Installation Oversight
Each brick is engraved to a finish suitable for permanent installation at Hampden Park. Production and installation are carefully coordinated to align with stadium requirements and delivery timelines. Every brick undergoes individual checks before installation, ensuring clarity, durability and a finish appropriate for a long-term feature at the national stadium.
