Liverpool FC proudly unveiled a new survivors’ bench in honor of the 35th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster. Installed adjacent to the Hillsborough memorial at Anfield, this bench serves as a lasting tribute to the courage and resilience of Hillsborough survivors and a reminder of their strength and unity since the tragedy.

The bench is crafted from oak, with sandblasted text etched into the granite, representing a timeless memorial for reflection and remembrance. A bronze plaque installed in the floor features a message of gratitude to those who bravely endeavored to save lives on April 15, 1989.
The final installation was expertly managed by Intaglio Creative, who worked closely with numerous Liverpool FC departments, including stadium operations, project management, and design, to bring the bench to life.
The directors and members of the Hillsborough Survivors Support Alliance welcome the bench as a symbol of the decades-long struggle for truth and justice. It stands as a place of reflection for survivors and their families and a beacon of hope for the future.
