As part of the redevelopment of the Main Stand at Anfield, Liverpool Football Club launched the Anfield Forever fan walkway, giving supporters the opportunity to secure a personalised stone within the stadium footprint.
Located alongside the expanded stand, the installation forms a permanent feature within the stadium approach, celebrating the connection between the club and its global supporter base.
The Challenge
The expansion of the Main Stand represented a major milestone for Liverpool Football Club.
The club wanted to create a supporter feature that would sit naturally within the redevelopment while offering fans the chance to be part of the project. The scheme needed to operate at scale, handling thousands of personalised stones while maintaining quality and consistency across the installation.
It also needed a clear supporter journey, allowing fans around the world to personalise their stone and feel part of the transformation of Anfield.
The Solution
Intaglio delivered the Anfield Forever Main Stand walkway as a large scale personalised stone scheme integrated into the stadium redevelopment.
Designed for the new Main Stand
The installation forms part of the stadium approach alongside the redeveloped stand, creating a visible supporter landmark connected directly to the expansion project.
Built for supporter participation
Supporters were able to personalise stones with names, dedications and messages celebrating their connection to the club. The programme attracted fans from across the world, reflecting Liverpool FC’s global supporter base.
Delivered at stadium scale
Thousands of stones were engraved and installed as part of the programme. Each stone was produced and quality checked before installation, ensuring consistency across the walkway. Supporters also had the option to purchase replica stones and presentation certificates as keepsakes.
