Intaglio launches fundraising with Wigan Warriors
The team at Intaglio have been working with Wigan Warriors to launch their memory wall in celebration of their 150th Anniversary. This project took on the fundraising software of our company Fundit Now, giving the club full access to their own fundraising website and visibility of plaque sales.
Creating a theme
Formed in 1872 as Wigan Football Club, Wigan was a founding member of the Northern Rugby Football Union. 2022 sees them celebrating their 150th anniversary making it the perfect time for Wigan Warriors to launch their memory wall.
In celebration of the club, they wanted to invite their fans to share their memories and tributes to the club by purchasing a personalised plaque. The fans plaques will feature alongside milestone plaques of their Hall of Fame players and Club Legends.
The Location
The club selected an area within their community garden, located in a peaceful position near the border to the DW Stadium. This creates a real focal point for the fans to come and enjoy their personalised plaques.
Design
In celebration of the club’s anniversary year, the design team have created a theme running through the centre of the display. This will include a series of images and accolades of Wigan Warrior’s rich history. A mock up was created to help show this off to supporters to encourage them to be part of the memory wall.
The Results
- Wigan Warriors launched a fundraiser to raise funds for their club
- They selected two sizes of zinc plaques for fans and supporters to purchase
- Launched in October 2022 / Installation Date Early 2023
- to be installed on the memory wall within their community Garden
“Andy at Fundit Now has been integral at launching our scheme, he has been on hand at all times to help with any questions regarding the project. Whilst we wanted to do this for our 150th Anniversary we would consider a similar campaign in the future for other fundraising initiatives”
Claire Taylor, Wigan Warriors
“I have been passionate about supporting Wigan Warriors in launching their scheme, and they have been great to work with. I am looking forward to seeing the memory wall in place within a wonderful setting in their community gardens.”
Andy Hines, Fundit Now.
Supported by Fundit Now
The club embraced the idea of this project after seeing some of our previous scheme’s. Our sister company Fundit Now help venues and clubs o raise funds, by giving donors recognition for their kind donation, by way of a personalised plaque to be installed on the wall at a venue. The team behind Fundit Now have helped many major sporting venues, but now with their innovative technology solution, they are able to take that same fundraising model to the thousands of local sporting clubs in the United Kingdom.
