Dulux colour experts have chosen Brave Ground™, a bolstering shade that connects back to nature and the simple things. A warm, earthy tone, it creates a feeling of stability, growth and potential; and provides a firm foundation for change and creativity in your home.

As Dulux name their colour of the year 2021 as Brave Ground, we explore how this trend of earthy colours translates to tiles. The palette is warm and subtle, so these tones have a lot of potential. Attempting to connect back to nature and remain quite simplistic, we would firstly pare some our most subtle designs engraved onto tiles of a neutral background. The overall effect remains true to the style, but adds a unique engraved detail that lifts any project.

To create more of an impact, we would look at the colour of the tile suggesting complementary colours, but sticking with an earthy tone, and building the design further with bolder patterns that create a real depth to each engraved tile.
