A legacy at Manchester Grammar School

Our first project with Manchester Grammar School was nearly 10 years ago now, which saw Intaglio Creative installing a bespoke sandstone entrance as part of the Bursary Now Appeal campaign. Designed to give thanks to former MGS pupils, parents and supporters who gave generously to the Bursary fund since 1998 and enabled the school to spend £22m on life changing bursaries. Using Yorkshire Stone, it was fabricated to flow around the main entrance with donor names engraved into the stone.

The team at Intaglio Creative were delighted to be invited to create a new donor design, which would recognise the Boards of Refoundation. Located at the Hugh Oldham entrance and using sandstone, so that it is in keeping with the existing design, it lists all the initial donor names hand cut into the blocks.
