Our Process

From walkways of engraved fan stones to personalised supporter plaque walls, every fan feature needs a great game plan.

Here is how we take your project from early concept to a finished landmark for your club or venue.

1 - Defining the vision

We start by working with your club and, where relevant, your architects, landscapers or designers to define how the overall scheme and final installation will look.

Whatever the feature, we use our expertise to help shape the design, maximise the usage of space available and revenue opportunity for your club. We agree the materials involved, the stone or plaque sizes and price points available to supporters, so there are no surprises later.

Using our in-house design expertise and specialist software, this CGI render gives a final impression of The Dock Lines scheme. This project is currently underway and will be installed ahead of Everton Football Club’s second season of Premier League football at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

2 - Building the fan journey

Once the design is agreed, we create a fully-operational club-branded e-commerce site, where supporters can personalise and buy their stones or plaques.

Orders land directly with our team, who check every message, lay out each design and prepare it for production.

3 - From template to stone

Each personalised design is printed in our workshop and then applied to the supporter’s chosen stone or plaque.

A member of our team then weeds the stencil, removing the finer details by hand so every character and club crest is crisp and ready for engraving. This stage is done entirely by hand, because no machine can match the precision required for fine lettering and intricate crests.

4 - Into the blaster

At this point in the process the stone gets engraved.

Each fan stone or plaque goes into one of our specialist blasting machines, where the design is engraved deep into the surface for a long-lasting, high-quality finish. A masked stone goes in and a personalised engraved fan stone comes out.

Once blasted, the stencil is removed and a finishing solution is applied to protect the face and bring the detail to life. This also ensures that the stone is protected against the elements and will last for generations.

5 - Ready for the stadium

Finished pieces then follow one of two paths:

Installation pieces
These are grouped, organised and stored safely in our warehouse on-site until installation day.

Replica orders
If a supporter has chosen to purchase a replica to keep at home, we box these up and prepare them for delivery once the main project is complete.

6 - Installation and mapping

Working with your stadium operations teams and contractors, we install every stone or plaque exactly to plan.

We manage the layout, positioning and quality checks so the finished feature looks clean, aligned and ready for crowds. We also create detailed maps and plans so fans can easily find their stone or plaque on matchday.

See examples of our work on our Projects page.

7 - Customer service from start to finish

Our in-house customer service team deals with all supporter queries direct via a dedicated customer service email, taking the pressure away from your own internal customer service teams.

Our team handles everything from order questions to delivery updates, helping your club answer any questions and ensuring every supporter feels valued.

8 - Handover and aftercare

Once complete, we pass over all project documentation, maps, installation drawings and aftercare information so the landmark stays in great condition for years to come.
